I thought I'd share with you all some photos of my life in New York-- especially since I had a hard time updating my blog while I was running around the city. I made a lot of great friends and it was probably my favorite summer of my life.
This is a selfie from the day I won the Kinky Boots lottery. My roommate Kristin and I had a lot of fun seeing that show. My fashion goals pretty much fall into 4 categories: stylish business person, adorkable girl in cute dresses and skirts, magical girl, and super villain. This was one of my more super-villainous outfits.
This is a shot of the restaurant Kristin, Danny, Oscar, and I went to after seeing the Game Play Festival's preview.
The Jalopy Tavern in Red Hook, where Kristin, Julia, and I went to a concert/music video shoot.
The bar at the Jalopy had a bad-ass menu.
Reading for work in Prospect Park.
Mailbox that Sarah and I came upon in Soho. I like this for a lot of reasons. I imagine Keith to be a genuine and hopeless romantic who thought to himself, "You know what's a great way to meet people? MAILBOXES!"
Washington Square Park.
Graffiti near West 4th St
Ootoya, an amazing Japanese gastropub
I spent a wonderful day in Prospect Park by myself.
I laid around in the sun, drew, listened to music, and ate cotton candy.
It was absolutely lovely.
Soup dumplings from Joe's Shanghai
Delicious hot dog I got in a cool speakeasy that my boss took us all to. A hot dog, wrapped in bacon, deep-fried, and topped in momofuku kimchi!
Annie came from Chicago to figure out her housing for September and I was excited to see her!
We ate at my favorite restaurant in the city. (Whoops I ate here so many times!)
I love living in New York and I can't wait to go back. But now I'm focusing on getting through school and getting a job! I hope you enjoyed this little photo-dump. How did you spend your summer?
